Obituary of Theresa McCoubrey

Theresa McCoubrey, age 82 years of Lower Coverdale, died peacefully at her home on December 13th, 2008 with her loving family by her side. Born on December 15th, 1925 in Szendro, Hungary she was the daughter of the late Charles and Terez (Szebeny) Veres. She was a member of Riverview Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses and found great joy in speaking to others about her Bible based beliefs as well as attending meetings with her dear friends at the Kingdom Hall. She loved to garden and nurture her many plants which she readily shared with her friends and family. Theresa also had a creative talent for needlework (cross stitch); but even more important to her was her selfless devotion to her children and grandchildren. She was attentive to the needs and wishes of those she loved and will be missed by them all. Survived by her children Linda McMullen (Brian), Pamela Roy (Randy) and Brian McCoubrey (Sandy); grandchildren Cara McMullen (Jody) and Joshua McCoubrey (Miranda); great grandchildren Ryan, Rachael and Carter; as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Norman McCoubrey in 1996; infant daughter Rhonda; brother Frank Veres of Minto; sisters Elizabeth Elek of Montreal, and Anna Sheppard of Saint John. By personal request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held from the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 at 2:00pm with Adrien Noel officiating. Interment will take place in the Wilmot Cemetery, Lower Coverdale.
