Celebrating the Bright Life of Maxwell John Landry

October 4, 2023 – July 3, 2026

With broken hearts but immense gratitude for every moment we shared, we announce the passing of our sweet little boy, Maxwell John Landry. He left us far too soon on July 3, 2026, at the tender age of two and a half, leaving behind a legacy of pure joy and profound heroism.

Max was a beam of bright sunshine, full of life, laughter, and boundless energy. The happiest little guy imaginable, he possessed a soul that didn't have a single bad bone in it. If Max was awake, he was smiling, and that smile could light up any room. He spent his days doing exactly what he loved most: playing with his cars, learning about animals and numbers, and fiercely wrestling with his big brothers. If Max set his sights on something, absolutely nothing could stop him. He lived with a beautiful determination, truly doing everything to “Max capacity.”

Yet, for all his playful energy, Max was the ultimate comfort-seeker. He was rarely seen without his favorite blanket, carrying it everywhere, always tucked into his little hand or snuggled tightly against his cheek.

He was, without a doubt, the absolute best at snuggling. While his Saturday morning cuddles were a sacred family treasure, his affection didn't follow a schedule. It was a beautiful, everyday sight for him to pause in the middle of playing, climb up for a quick cuddle, and run right back to his toys with a giant grin. He knew nothing but safety, warmth, and the deepest love.

While our hearts are shattered that we could not save our sweet little boy, Max’s final act on this earth was one of profound bravery and love. Through the miraculous gift of organ donation, Max is a hero. His liver and kidneys have gone to recipients who are in desperate need, and his loving heart was given to a paediatric patient in critical status, offering them the chance to grow, and live a fulfilling life. Because of Max’s extraordinary gift, another family has renewed hope, and Max's sweet heart will beat on.

Max is deeply missed and forever adored by his loving parents, David Landry and Arissa Angel; his big brothers, Edison Landry and Bennett Landry, who will carry his laughing spirit and unstoppable memory into every single game they play; his grandparents, Brenda Angel, John Landry and Brenda Landry; and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were made infinitely brighter by his beautiful smile.

There will be a celebration of life held at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857-9544, on Sunday, July 19, 2026 between the hours of 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. 

In memory of Max, donations made to the IWK Health Centre, (https://iwkhealth.ca/donate) or to the Ronald McDonald House, (https://ronaldmcdonaldhousemaritimes.ca/donate/) would be appreciated by the family.
