Michael, Susan and all Gerry’s family, my sincere sympathy on the passing of your Dad. I worked with your Dad for 22 years at Co-op Atlantic. I was a young, green behind the ears, girl from Cape Breton, when I was hired to work in Petroleum Dept. with Gerry, the Manager and Eva, my supervisor. I was somewhat intimidated by him, tall, suit and tie, handsome man, that Eva called Mr. Power. So that’s what I called him for a long time. Probably until well after Eva retired in 1985. So you can imagine the shock I had, the day he told me I could call him Gerry. I guess it took me that long to prove I was around for the long haul. Gerry was very well respected by all his co-workers at Co-op Atlantic. He will be sadly missed by everyone at our monthly Retirees’ Breakfast. Sincere condolences, Leah and Victor LeBlanc

Well , for me the passing of Gerry is similar to losing a brother . He was the consumate gentleman , never an unkind word , unless of course your name was Trump . Gerry and I did Wordle each morning , sharing our results and mocking each other in defeat . When the Good Lord was passing out intelligence , Gerry Power was at the front of the line . I will miss our phone calls , when , like his golfing buddies mentioned here , many and varied topics were discussed with no stone left unturned . Gerry will be missed but Susan and Michael you need assurancethat he left a lasting legacy of a wonderful dad , a truly committed grandfather , a dedicated brother and loyal friend !!

Dear Susan, Michael, Megan, Ryan, Quinn and families .. our most sincere condolences for all of you on the passing of your father and friend Gerry from your lives. Gerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many, whom he was so very willing and generous to share kindness with. Gerry's devotion to his Catholic faith was unwavering, and lead his way in life with valued guiding principles. His Christian faith taught him the lessons of eternal life, which would lead him back to his true love Norma, his parents Theresa and Joe and the other family and friends who preceded him and were there to greet him on his arrival. Judy and I were so sad to hear of Gerry's passing and we pass along our condolences to his family. We were neighbours on Lumsden Road for many years and have many good memories to remember of that time. Gerry and I were golfing buddies for 25 years and a round never went by without Gerry's quick wit and comments adding so much more to the round. I, in fact would pass these witticisms on to other people numerous times. We would meet at Tim Hortons every Tuesday morning for coffee to discuss and solve the woes of the world, both politically and in the world of sports among many other subjects. Gerry # 2 sending sincere and heartfelt condolences to Son Michael, Daughter Susan and all family members and friends with the passing of Gerry. From Season Opening to Closing, for many years, Gerry #1 got the tee times for his golfing buddies and all Team Power members had to do was show up at Moncton Golf's #1 tee. During no golf season, Gerry and 3 other members of Team Power would meet at Tim's on Tuesday for coffee and very entertaining and educational world saving, sometimes political, discussions. Memories are everlasting and I have so many of my time with Gerry. He will be missed Gerry Wilkins
