Obituary of Harry Harding Lynds
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Lynds.
Born in Emerson, Kent Co., NB he was the son of the late Harry and Vera (Beers) Lynds. Harry moved to Sudbury, On where he lived most of his life. Later he moved to Riverview, NB to be close to his sister Romona Berry.
Harry worked in Nickle Mines of Sudbury, On until he retired and spent all of his time with his family. A great dad who always made sure his kids felt loved. He is survived by his son Terry of Sudbury, ON, three brothers Charlie, Myles and Ronald, two sisters Romona Berry and Karen Miscampbell. Harry met Shirley Ritchie who became his loving companion for the last years of his life.
He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy "Detty" Burns of 64 years, a son Brian, daughter Judy , brothers Randolph, Robert, Boyd, and Roger. Harry will be missed by his son, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Harry had many interests. He loved music, singing, playing accordion, guitar, mouth organ. He was a boxer, bowler, loved hockey and playing cards, he was a joker and entertainer. He was the life of the gathering, full of joy.
His family wish to express its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Julia Carrier, nurses and staff of the Moncton Hospital for their wonderful care and attention he received.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Beersville Cemetery, Kent Co. NB.
