Obituary of Scott M. Ritchie

Scott M. Ritchie,76, of Riverview, passed away with his family at his side at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, May 17, 2009. Born in Coverdale, NB he was the son of the late Scott M. and Annie J. (Irving) Ritchie. He was a retired Independent Trucker. Scott enjoyed Bowling in the Seniors League, and playing Darts and Pool in the City League. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in his vegetable garden. A kind, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years Doris M. Ritchie, his three daughters Ann Fahie (Gary) of Halifax, NS; Wendy Ritchie and Cheryl Ritchie both of Riverview, NB; his adoring grandchildren Adam and Ryan Fahie and Morgan Ritchie; six sisters Mina Steeves (Lotan) of Petitcodiac, Sheila Lund of Saint John, Jean Allen (Herman) of Moncton, Prudence Harmer (Bill) of Havelock, Carole Hendy (Ron) of Riverview and Donna Steeves (Charles) of Ontario; one brother Greg Ritchie (Carol) of Riverview as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Vernon and Lloyd Ritchie and one sister Audrey Seely. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 2:30 pm. Interment will be in Wesleyan Union Cemetery, Upper Coverdale, NB. Donations in Scott's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Oncology Dept." would be appreciated by his family.
