Obituary of Eric Alphee Cormier

Eric Alphee Cormier, 86, of Shediac Cape and formerly of Moncton, passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Born in St. Norbert, NB; he was the son of the late Angus and Leonie (LeBlanc) Cormier. Eric enjoyed Sunday drives and later going for his daily eight mile walks. He will be missed by his five daughters Germaine Gallant (John) of ON, Diane Fougere (Emile) of Shediac, Leona Carter (Gerry) of ON, Claudette Martin of Moncton, and Theresa Hudson (Wayne) of Oklahoma; his son Roger Cormier (Anita) of Lakeville; sisters Maria Cormier and Lorraine Melanson of both Shediac Cape; several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rose (Noel) Cormier, daughters Corinne and Maria, one son Alfred; two sisters Yvonne Allen and Rita Noel. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz St. Moncton on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the service. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Eric's memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the CNIB would be appreciated by his family.
