Obituary of Michael W. Lasaga
Michael W. Lasaga of Riverview, passed away suddenly with his wife by his side at his residence early Tuesday morning, June 26, 2007 at the age 65 years. Born in St. Georges, NFLD he was the son of Judith (Blanchard) and Timothy Lasaga.
He was a retired chef, he worked for 15 years at the Irving Big Stop, Salisbury, NB.
Survived by his wife of 32 years Jean (Hamm) Lasaga; daughters Tanya Lasaga-Mallaley and her husband Dean of Riverview, and Beverly Lasaga of Halifax; son George Turple of Moncton; sisters Lucy of NFLD, Yvonne of ON; brothers Alphonse and Pius both of BC; sister in law Nadine Hamm of Dieppe; He will be sadly missed by his beloved grandson Donovan Mallaley, who will always remember Pappy. Also by grandchildren Dillon of Halifax, Corey, Matthew and Jolene all of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Joan of NFLD, and brother Hubert of NS.
At his request there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral service. Cremated remains will be forwarded to NFLD for interment
In Michael's memory, donations made to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated by his family.
