Obituary of Alfred Emile Breau
Alfred Emile Breau, Moncton, passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Born on February 12, 1933, he was the son of the late Elodie (Gagnon) and Pierre Breau. Fred adored his loving wife of 49 years, Katherine (Johnston); his three sons Daniel (Valerie), Paul (Jennifer), and Philip (Fariba); sister Bernice Simmons (late Gerry) of Montreal; brothers Oscar (Lillian) and Raymond (Jeanette) of Moncton; grandchildren Graeme Ross, Nicole and Sienna. Fred was predeceaed by his sister Helena Cormier (late Norman) of Hartford. Fred had an unfailing optimism and passion for life, and enjoyed perfecting his golf game, playing at Maplewood Golf Club. He also enjoyed warm Florida winters with his wife in their retirement. Before retiring, Fred was dedicated to his career as a civil engineer. He attended St. Francis Xavier University, earned his bachelors degree from Universite de Laval, Quebec, and his masters from the University of Manitoba. Fred will be dearly missed. There will be a private graveside service held for the family in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Fred's memory, donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
