I will miss our yearly phone call, I spoke with Dorothy on Jan. 20th 2022, she was always pleasant to speak with and always made me laugh. I met her at Dept. of Finance and we had many chats at the shared photocopier, mainly about flowers. After she retired, our friend, Glenna, and I visited her occasionally and came home with a few perennials. The last time I saw her in Musquodoboit Harbour, we were eating chocolate cake at her table that a friend had given to her. Dorothy was a great lady and I’m so happy to have known her. Condolences to you and your family.

I was sad to hear of Dot’s passing, as I have fond memories of working several years with her at Finance. I also had the opportunity to admire her beautiful gardens and share a cuppa. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during these next coming months. Sincerely, Janet

My sincere condolences for the loss of Dorothy. She was a special friend. We talked a couple of times a year. We have always been in touch. Dot has never missed sending me a birthday card on my birthday. I will miss the connection. I am sad.

Debi and family, we were so sorry to read about Dot’s passing. She was my mother’s (Gloria’s) first cousin, and she was always so kind to us anytime we visited. She and Jeddore are synonymous in my mind. I know that her passing leaves a profound void for all of you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and in our hearts. Sincerely, Taunya Pynn Crowe

I was so sorry to read this obituary this morning. Dot travelled to work in Halifax from Musquodoboit Harbour with me every day for years, along with others. I considered her to be a good friend and will miss her, though I hadn't seen her for a few years. My sincerest condolences to Debi and family.

Hello Debi and family I got to know your mother when she lived here at People's Park Tower. I understand that your mother lived across the hall from Dorothy Lawson as she mentioned her this afternoon. Also Ernestine Cook mentioned your mother last night. On behalf of those who knew your mother, we extend our deepest and sincerest sympathy to you, your husband, as well as your sisters and brother. Please pass our sympathy to the members of your family. Sincerely Lois Dunfield

My heart goes out to you at this time. I remember Dot from Jeddore days when we were children and next door neighbours. May you be comforted in knowing that many are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. May the love, hope and strength of God sustain you and give you peace.
