Obituary of Douglas "Doug" J. Ainsworth
Douglas "Doug" Ainsworth, 64, of Riverview, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Born in Montreal, PQ. he was the son of the late Clarence and Eleanor Ainsworth. He was a retired Air Traffic Controller Supervisor and instructor with Nav Canada.
Doug left Montreal for Moncton to obtain his Commercial Pilot License, it was here in Moncton that he met his future wife Tymley "Tym". He later began his career as a Air Traffic Controller with Nav Canada. Doug enjoyed serving for ten years with RCMP Auxiliary Hillsborough Detachment, he was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Riverview Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Tymley "Tym" Ainsworth; three daughters Tara Ainsworth of Halifax, Kelly Jamieson (Colin) of Halifax and Amy Ainsworth of Grande Prairie, AB; three grandchildren Hannah Jamieson, Max and Dex Covey - Ainsworth; two sisters Kathy Hayes (Gerry) of Mississauga, ON and Barbara Kornack (Ron) of Ottawa; his mother-in-law Patricia "Pat" Crocker Riverview; his brother-in-law Terry Crocker (Helen) of Halifax; as well as nieces and nephews and by their beloved Bichon Frise, Olivia, will miss having naps on her daddy's belly.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ken Ainsworth and his father-in-law Clarence Crocker.
Honoring Doug's wishes, his family will receive relatives and friends at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Donations in Doug's memory can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association Moncton Region Inc. A special thank you to Dr. Forbes, Dr. Cameron, the medical staff of 4600 at the Moncton Hospital and also to Linda Burns for all their support and kindness given to Doug and to our family.
