Obituary of Derek J. Morton

Derek Morton of Moncton passed away at Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital with his family by his side on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the age of 40 years. Born in Moncton on August 28, 1970 he was the son of Edward and Lorenna (Capson) Morton with whom he resided and was cared for throughout his lengthy illness. Besides his parents he was survived by his sister Eleanor "Casey" Seagrave of Moncton; brother Jonathan Morton of Moncton; great grandmother Beulah Taylor of Edgetts Landing; nephews Brandan, Christopher, and Matthew; several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Derek will be remembered for his love of old country and western music, vast collection of Elvis Presley, his fascination of Eagles and above all the love he had for his family and animals. He was predeceased by his maternal grand parents James and Alfretta Capson; paternal grand parents Rasha and Catherine Morton. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday June 1, 2011 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday June 2, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Donations in Derek memory made to the The Dialysis Unit at the George L. Dumont Hospital or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
