Obituary of Dorothy "Dot" M. Prince

Dorothy "Dot" M. Prince, age 92, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Lower Coverdale; passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born in Ottawa, ON; on October 5, 1918; she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Poirier) Allen. Dot was a retired cosmetician, having worked at Woolco and Sears Cosmetic Dept's. She was a volunteer and a member of the Seniors Group and the Bridge Club at People's Park Tower. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Diane Baxter (Goodwin) of Winnipeg, MB. and Margaret Gaudet of Moncton; her sons Robert Prince (Nancy) of Salem, NB. and Charles Prince (Kris) of Lower Coverdale; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister Marion McDonald of Ottawa; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years H. Winston Prince in 2004; also by a one brother and two sisters. Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Donations in Dot's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB at a later date.
