Obituary of Edward J. Morton
With sadness, the family of the late Edward James Morton wish to announce his passing at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday March 6, 2012. Born in Moncton on June 11, 1941 he was the son of late Horaitio and Katherine (Gaudet) Morton. Edward worked for over 30 years in the construction business. Before retirement, his last project worked was the expansion of the Moncton Hospital. He was a member of Local 900 Labourer's Union. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years Lorenna Capson; daughter Casey Morton and son Jonathan Morton of Moncton; grandchildren Brandan, Christopher and Matthew. Edward is also survived by sisters Kathryn (Irving) Hawks, Carol (Wayne) Fraser, Barbara Morton, and Martha (Stephen) Duffy all of Moncton; brothers Henry (Anne) Morton of Lower Coverdale, and John (Judy) Morton of Petitcodiac; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Derek in May of 2011. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 7:00pm-9:00pm.A funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Donations in Edward's memory made to the the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
