Obituary of Alexander Joseph "Doc" Bastarache

Alexander Joseph "Doc" Bastarache, of Moncton, NB passed away with family by his side at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the age of 84 years. Born in St. Marie De Kent, NB on November 3, 1922 he was the son of the late Levi and Rosanne (Doucette) Bastarache. He was adherent to L'Assomption Cathedral Roman Catholic Church. Fondly remembered by his daughters Rosita Gallant (Ernest) of Ninamo, BC, and Jeannine Bastarache (Del Nickerson) of Moncton; sons Gerald (Norma), William (Shirley), John (Pauline Williams), Edmond (Diane), Edgar (Anita), and Alcide (Barbara) all of Moncton; also by several grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Olive in 1998; son Francis in 1974; also by several brothers and sisters. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. on Sunday October, 28, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 10:00 am with Father Paul Breau officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Doc's memory, donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
