Obituary of Edward J. McIntosh
Edward J. McIntosh, of Royal Court and formerly of Montgomery Ave, passed away after a lengthy illness at The Moncton Hospital on Friday September 29, 2006 at the age of 90 years.
Born in Glassville, NB on May 16, 1916 he was the son of the late J. Wesley and Margaret McIntosh. He was a retired supervisor of The Mechanical Engineer Technology Dept. at the New Brunswick Community College Moncton Campus with 31 years service. He was a member of St. Pauls United Church, a member of the church choir, and a former elder and trustee of the church.
Edward was a veteran of WWII having served with the R.C.A.F and The Royal Navy Veterans Reserve Air Branch, he was a member of The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association, and a member of the New Brunswick Association of Technicians and Technology.
Left with fond memories are his sons George and his wife Judi of Moncton, and Donald and his wife Catherine of Quebec; grandchildren Julianna, Steven, and Emily; brother Clarence McIntosh and his wife Jessie of Fredericton; sisters Edna and her husband Carl Cunningham of Dartmouth, Jean McIntosh of Woodstock, and Edith and her husband Larry Parks of Presque Isle, ME; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mary I. (Anderson) McIntosh in 2004; brother Allan McIntosh; and his sister Agnes McIntosh.
A memorial service will be held at St. Pauls United Church on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating, with a reception to follow.
Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
