Obituary of Gregory Fleck
Gregory Fleck, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the age of 63 years. He was born to Shirley (Marks) and the late Adin Fleck on May 7, 1946 in Truro, NS. After school Greg and his high school sweetheart Blanche (Hamilton) left Rothesay, NB and headed to the big TO. Greg and Blanche married on July 2, 1966 and remained in St. Catherine's, ON for 10 years. They returned to New Brunswick and lived in Riverview where they raised their three daughters. Greg sold "Fords" for most of his life. He was an honest salesman, the kind you rarely hear of. Greg won many awards and was named the Salesman of the Year on several occasions. If someone purchased a vehicle from Greg, they were repeat customers for the rest of their life and most times their entire family would follow suit. A man of his word, Greg didn't tell you something he didn't mean or couldn't make happen. He loved reading, nascar, telling a good joke, playing cards, and above all he loved his grandchildren. He was a avid member of the Coverdale Masons and he enjoyed volunteering at the local food bank. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years Blanche; mother Shirley of Hampton; brothers Gary (Sandra) of Norton and Dwight (Christel) of St. Catherines ON, his three daughters Marnie (Mike) Davis of Kingston ON, Cindy (Steve) Patterson of Wolfebro NH and Nicolle (Kyle) LeBlanc of Fredericton; also by his grandchildren Taylor, Lauren, Brady, Claire, Paige, Christopher, Colton, Ryan and Hunter; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 1:00pm with Rev. Shawn Redden officiating. In Greg's memory, donations made to The Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated. "Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the wind to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something, let if be my faults, my weaknesses, and all my prejudice against my fellow man. Give my soul to God. If by chance you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever." The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses who so lovingly cared for Dad. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857-9544.
