Obituary of Albert Edward Reid

Albert Edward Reid,74, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away at at his residence following a coureageous battle with cancer Sunday, March 12, 2006. He was a former Trackman with CN. Albert was a outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, however his greatest love was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Marion (Patriquin) Reid, two daughters Marilyn Gaythorpe of Vernon BC and Debbie Lutes (John) of Colpitts Settlement; daughter-in-law Sharron Reid of Colpitts Settlement; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two brothers Lloyd Reid of Tatamagouche, NS and Russell Reid (Helen) of Salisbury; one sister Margaret MacFarlane of New Glasgow, NS and by nieces and nephews and an uncle Harry Patriquin of Moncton. Besides his parents Alfred and Mabel (Sarty) Reid he was predeceased by his son Sandy Reid and by five brothers. Visitation will be at the Riverview Funeral Home, Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Stephane Beaulieu officiating. Interment will be in Wilmot Memorial Cemetery, Lower Coverdale, NB. Donations in Albert's memory made to Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
