Obituary of Alexander K. Roberts

Alexander K. Roberts, passed away tragically in Rexton on Monday December 12, 2005, at the age of 84 years. Born in Targetville, NB on August 1, 1921 he was the son of the late Isaiah and Agnes (Beers) Roberts. He was the owner operator of Whips Cleaning Services in Oshawa Ontario, he retired in 1987, moved to Rexton to Patricia 'Chick's' homestead and devoted his time to her care through a time of failing health. He was a very active, hard working, and generous man, he created award winning flower gardens and was a marvelous cook and baker, he made 'dam good' donuts by the dozens. He had a vast collection of John Wayne movies that he adored. He was a dedicated father, grampa and pappa, and a friend to many, he will be forever remembered as a very loving and unique individual who had a real passion for life. He is survived by his daughter Noreen E. Langdon (Late Geoffrey) of Ottawa; sons Myles Gregory Roberts (Donna) of Fenelon Falls, ON, Francis Connolly 'Whip' Roberts (Cathy) of Oshawa ON; grandchildren Jeremy, Blake, Amanda (Tommy), Michelle, Ashley, Jennifer, Alexis. Several neices, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Patricia E. Roberts in April of this year, sisters Maude, Mary, and brother Ernest. There will be no viewing or visitation at the Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton, NB on Thursday December 15, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Father Bernard officiating. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. In Alexander's memory, donations made to The Kent Co. Food Bank, P.O.
