Obituary of Maurine Germaine Prime Mallett)
After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully Monday, August 3, 2009 with her family by her side.
She leaves behind her loving husband Bob Prime, her children Laurie Landry (husband Ed), Cindy Prime (Partner James Paige), Todd Prime and Rob Prime (wife Kim), brother Ron Mallett, siser Gail Zangen (husband Murray); her grandchildren Lindsay and Mason Landry, Sarah and Allan Morgan, Kayleigh, Theodore and Rosalie Prime, Zack and Avery Prime; and her nieces and nephews Blair, Jeffrey and Kathleen Mallett, Kim Copp, Joshua, Victoria and Matthew Zangen; and finally her furry companion Suzy.
Maurine was an active member of the Moncton Beaver Curling Club for many years, enjoying much success in many competitive bonspiels, including the Wedgewood plate, awarded to her during the Schweppes tournament. Maurine was also a long-time member and former president of the Riverview Lioness. Along with her accomplishments in the community, Maurine's greatest joy was working on craft projects with close friends. Her fondest memories were those with her family and friends on Prince Edward Island at "Jusonemoe" cottage.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church, Cleveland Ave. Riverview; reception to follow in the church hall.
