Obituary of Hilda Anna Kendrick
Hilda A. Kendrick, 90, formerly of Hillsborough, passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Monday, December 10, 2007. Born in Harrisville, NB on April 1, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Lilly (Reade) Simmons. Hilda was a member of Weldon Baptist Church, the Hillsborough Senior Silver Chords Choir and she was a life member of the Hillsborough W.M.S.
Hilda will be remembered for her love of children, her pleasant personality and her great sense of humour.
A loving and caring mother, gram, great gram and friend she will sadly missed by her daughter Ella and her husband Arnold Hyslop of Lower Coverdale; her son Lloyd and his wife Helen Kendrick of Weldon; grandchildren Michael Kendrick (fiancee Kimberly Bishop) and Rhonda Babineau (Norman) and great grandson William Babineau; also by several nieces and nephews.
Hilda was the thirteenth child of fourteen children, she is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband William Kendrick in March of 1982; daughter Dorothy in May of 1955; sisters Pearl, Daisy, Minnie, Florence, Ruth, Dorothy, Bertha, and Reta; brothers Frederick, Herbert, Percy, Weldon and Rupert.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home Lutz St. Moncton with visitation on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Blaine Steeves officiating.
Interment will be in Lakeville Cemetery, Lakeville, West. Co. NB in the spring.
Donations in Hilda's memory made to the Weldon Baptist Church Memorial Fund or to Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
