Obituary of Hester Aleatha Jonah

Hester A. Jonah, 84, formerly of Hillsborough, NB, passed away at Jordan Lifecare Center, the Glades, NB on Saturday, June 23, 2007. Born in Surry, Albert Co. NB, she was the daughter of the late Lessel and Bertha (Beaumont) Jonah She was a member of Valley Baptist Church, Surry, NB. She worked as a mail order clerk with the Royal Canadian Army during war time in Saint John, NB. She is survived by three daughters Barbara McMackin (Brian) of Salisbury, Linda Milton of Hillsborough and Brenda Steeves (George) of Parkindale; son Gary Jonah of Dawson Settlement; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; by several nieces and nephews. Hester was the last surviving member of her immediate Family. She was predeceased by her husband Boyd Jonah in 1991. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Riverview Funeral Home Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 7 to 9pm, The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 1:30pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Donations in Hester's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Interment will be at Gray's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB.
