Obituary of Thomas Nowlan
Thomas Nowlan, of Moncton, NB passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the age of 94 years. Born in St. Frances, NB he was the son of the late Edward and Marie (Despré) Nowlan.
He was a retired postal clerk with 28 years of service and attended St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church. Thomas was a veteran of WWII having served with the 14th Field Ambulance Core and with the 5th Field Dressing Station from 1940-1945.
Thomas will be sadly missed by sons Thomas Jr (Aline) Nowlan, Paul (Gloria) Nowlan, all of Moncton, Ronald of Anagance, Richard (Margaret) of Moncton; grandchildren Denis, Marc, Melita, Christopher, Andrew, April and Lesley; great grandchildren Claire and Rowan also several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife Alice (Poirier) in 2006; one son David; sisters Catherine, Lena, Emma and Sylvia; brothers Gerald, Joseph and Peter.
By personal request there is no visitation. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
