Sending my condolences to Sarahs friends and family. She was a vibrant passionate lady. When we had our phone chats, I never had to worry about what to say, because she covered it all. She is now with Ted and Ronnie. God bless.

Memories of Sarah Gilmore Sarah and Ted lived next door to us at 30 Aberdeen Dr. for over 20 years. Sarah was a fun loving lady who was always up for a party - tea parties, birthdays, anniversaries, hosting parties at her home or going out to eat. Sarah loved to travel - Shopping at stores, yard/craft sales at churches or homes - it did not matter to Sarah where she went she could always find things to gift to friends. In later years she shopped from Helping Hands at Royal Court and from friends in Moncton Residence. Sarah was a great talker - she loved to share stories of her life with Ted from the time they met in 1941, married April 9,1942, Teds years in the Navy and at Mt A, the birth of their pride & joy son Ronnie and their adventures in PQ and Labrador where Ted worked building Hydro Dams in the Bush, as Sarah referred to his time working in the remote areas. Ronnie passed while living in the Bush so to help Sarah overcome some of the sadness she worked in a Bank for awhile. Ted retired at 55 yrs in 1976 and they moved to their little farm in Berryton, NB. In 1991 they moved to Aberdeen Drive and enjoyed life until Teds failing health would not allow to work in his garden so he went to the Veterans Centre on June 7, 2012. Sarah sold the house and moved to Canterbury Hall in August 2012 then to Moncton Residence on Nov 17, 2016. Sarah being a people person continued to make new friends and enjoy visits and phone calls with old friends until Covid. Problems with her legs and hearing loss cut Sarah off from being able to enjoy visits during the later years. She has been ready and waiting to join Ted, Ronnie and her family in Heaven for some time so as much as we will miss Sarah we have great memories to keep her close until we meet again. Sarah - you lived a good long, fun and exciting life, endured much sadness along the way and now you can enjoy your freedom to fly around Heaven in your 0Slippers with Wings. Rest in Peace and God Bless from Your Morton Family. Gordie, Mary and Karen, Jack, Shelley, Ashley and Kristen and Deborah and Simon

Sarah lived to a great age and was she ever proud to let us know that she needed very few -almost none- health prescriptions. I officiated at the Memorial Service for Ted a few years ago in the funeral home chapel, and I have kept in touch with Sarah with many telephone calls - and a personal visit or two when I would be in Moncton. My brother, Steven and his wife Dawn whom Sarah always called her Donna, sang at Teds Service. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the service for Sarah in Riverview. Our sympathy is extended to all members of Sarahs family. May God grant you peace during these sad days. Steven and Dawn, and I, will cherish our memories of Sarah. She was quite the lady. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Steven and Dawn Campbell Kenneth Campbell

Sarah and Ted were my Neighbours growing up. We did not know them too well for a long time and when my brother and I would play ball hockey on the road, we knew that if our ball went on their lawn Ted would snatch it up and scoff at us - saying we would never get it back, He was the scourge of the kids on our street. But after some time, our mom got to know Sarah and one day when we were playing, Ted came out with a huge bag of all the balls he had collected from us over the years and dumped it out for us. And there was Sarah, looking on and laughing from their front door. And thus began a wonderful friendship for the next 20 years. Ted would even watch us play ball hockey every once in a while, - and the neighbourhood kids began to interact and start friendships of their own with him when they would see him dilligently working on his lawn. We soon learned of Ted's numerous adventures and of his insatiable green thumb. And of course Sarah was the rock of that household. She was a remarkable woman. Always full of laughter and ready for a visit - a supremely gracious host. And Ted knew that she was the only one who could put him in his place - when his stories got too rambunctious she'd snap at him telling him to knock it off and he would roar with laughter. When I moved away and had kids of my own, we made sure that when we would visit my family in Moncton, she would be included because she was exactly that - family. In our first visit she could hardly let my daughter go, she loved her so much. And now it's hard to let Sarah go. How I wish we could have seen her one last time. We'll never forget our dearly missed, our dearly loved, Sarah.

Sarah and Ted were wonderful neighbours. They invited the Ferguson family into their home many times, and Sarah would always have yummy treats. Sarah and Janet were very close - Janet would drive Sarah to various places and visit her over the last years of her life. We all loved Sarah, and she loved us - she was a lovely person

Sarah was so very loved by her friends and neighbours. I feel privileged to have grown up a few doors down from her and Ted. We loved them both very much, and we will never forget them.

Aunt Sarah and Uncle Ted were a wonderful presence in my life. I have found memories have summers spent with them when I was a child. Our days would be spent either gathering fiddle heads and blueberry picking with Sarah, then trout fishing with Uncle Ted in Turtle Creek. Sarah was a down to earth woman with great common sense. She had a great sense of humour and could easily spot irony in many day to day situations: "What are ya gonna do? Might as well laugh about it." Unfortunately the pandemic ruined a planned visit in 2020. Was hoping to see her in person one last time but being the practical person she was, understood the difficulty of the logistics. I loved Sarah very much and will miss her no-nonsense Acadienne personality. Hopefully she is now with Ted and her beloved son, who passed away so tragically, so many years ago. Rest in peace.
