Obituary of John William Reid

John William Reid, of Dieppe, NB passed away at The Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the age of 62 years. Born in Moncton, NB on June 9, 1947; he was the son of Jean (Bulmer) and the late John M. Reid. John retired after 25 years service as a driver with SMT. He enjoyed giving back to his community as Treasurer of the Dieppe Lions Club, President of the Greater Moncton Crime Stoppers Association, and former member of the Codiac Regional Policing Authority. Besides his mother Jean, he is survived by his wife of 36 years Irene M. (Gallant); daughters Tanya Reid (Tony Reicker) of Sussex and Sabrina (David) Vaters of Dieppe; sister Katherine (Michael) Arsenault of Moncton; four adoring grandchildren Jack, Samuel, Connor and Madelyn. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday February 17, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday February 18, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to The Canadian Diabetic Association; Greater Moncton Crime Stoppers or to The Lions Sick Children Fund would be appreciated by the family.
