Obituary of Joan Lanigan

Joan Lanigan of The Briarlea Seniors Residence, Moncton passed away at her home on Friday June 9, 2006. She was born in Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland. Joan was a member of St. George's Anglican Church and a member of the Willing Workers of St. Georges. She is survived by her daughter Wendy Battis and her husband Bob of Riverview; her son Mark Lanigan and his wife Ann of Moncton; two grandsons Todd (Kate) of Vancouver and Christopher (Jennifer) of Riverview; great grandson James of Vancouver; one brother Art Pope (Carol) of Kentville, NS; also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Rev. Matt Lanigan, one sister Anne and a brother Wilfred. At Joan's request there is no viewing at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church on Sunday June 11, 2006 at 1:00 pm with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Saint Martins in the Woods Anglican Cemetery, Shediac Cape, NB. In Joan's memory, donations made to The St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to The Alzheimer's Society of South East NB would be appreciated.
