Obituary of M. Pauline Duncan (Ploughman)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Duncan following a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023 at McNair Manor in Riverview.
Pauline worked as a commercial artist in St. John's for over 25 years, she also worked with Ayres, Bowring's. AE Hickman and the St. John's Telegram. It was when she moved to Nova Scotia, she got involved with tole painting, which she loved to do late into the evenings.
Pauline loved family gatherings, meeting people and being a part of the Riverview community where she volunteered and chaired numerous events with the Riverview Lioness Club. She was a great listener, she could sit next to someone on the bus and they would be telling her their life history before she got off.
Born in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland on June 25, 1948; she leaves behind her loving husband Sam of 47 years, her two sons; Stephen (Erica) of Halifax and Phillip (Heather) of Moncton; her siblings Eileen (Kevin), Jim (Michelle), Helen (Rob), Joan (Don)and Fred; her brothers in law, Bernard and David; as well as her many nieces, nephews, and a large number of friends in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Pauline was predeceased by her parents Fred and Winifred Ploughman sand by two sisters, Patricia and Marie.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, Riverview, on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 6 to 8pm.
The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Fr. Charles Broderick officiating.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Columbarium Moncton, NB.
Donations in Pauline's memory made to a charity for the research of Dementia and Alzheimer’s would be appreciated by her family.
