Obituary of Mary Ellen "Nellie" Melanson

Nellie Melanson, formerly of 80 Church St. Moncton, NB passed away at The Villa de Repos on Friday, March 2, 2007 at the age of 95 years. Born in Chatham, NB on August 30, 1911 she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Henriette Doucett. She was a member of St. Bernards Roman Catholic Church. Left with fond memories are her daughter Henriette Schmitt ; grandchildren Mark and Kirk Schmitt; also by her great grandson Sebastian Schmitt all of Toronto; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Peter Melanson in 1967; brothers Sam, William and Edgar Doucett. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 9:30am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring. In Nellie's memory, donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated.
