Obituary of Marion M. Gass

Marion Gass of Riverview, NB beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away after a couragous 8 year battle with cancer on June 24, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Dalhouise, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles and Malvina (Valdron) Carter. She was employed with Dominion Stores for 21 years, having worked in Dalhousie, Saint John, Dorval PQ, Fredericton and in the Moncton area. She was later employed with Save Easy until her retirement in 1998. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, especially her two grandsons. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 44 years Donald 'Don' ; daughter Kelly; son Andrew and his wife Tracy; very special grandsons Brady and Ryan Gass all of Riverview; sisters Doreen Carter of Dalhousie, Ruby (Raymond) Hickey of Toronto, and Theresa (Fred) Maxelon of Georgetown ON; brother James (Lorraine) Carter of Charlo; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers Lloyd, Gordon, and Venor. Marion was a former member of The Sackville Kinette Club and The Hub City Dancers. Honoring her wishes she has been cremated. Visitation will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday June 26, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home Monday evening at 8:30pm. The funeral service will be held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday June 27, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Family flowers only, In Marions's memory, donations made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the memorial of the donors choice would be greatly appreciated.
