Obituary of Muriel A. Peake

Muriel A. Peake of Moncton, passed away at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the age of 96 years. Born in Hillsborough, NB on September 14, 1909 she was the daughter of the late George E. and Nina E. (Colpitts) Lowe. Muriel was adherent to The Emmanuel Baptist Church. She retired from E.A. Fryers Co. Ltd, a former nurse in private schools in India and Shri-Lanka, she also served overseas in WWII with the Saint John Ambulance. She is survived by brothers Lloyde and his wife Mildred of Bradenton FL, Ken and his wife Kathleen of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Gordon E. Peake; sisters Myrtle Ellis and Shirley Ryan; brothers Osburne, Wendell, Alexander, and George. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Thursday February 2, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Friday February 3 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Friday February 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Pastor T. Friesen officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In Muriel's memory, donations made to The K. E. Spencer Memorial Home or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
