Obituary of Bernice Eva Doucett

Bernice Eva Doucett passed away peacefully at the Albert House Hospice with family by her side on January 14, 2024 at the age of 78 years.

Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Evelyn (Copp) Doucett. Bernices' career in Nursing spanned 40 years. Bernice worked a short while at her Hospital School, The Moncton Hospital. Bernice moved to Toronto to work at the Scarborough General then St. Joseph's for 25 years. Bernice also worked at York Memorial as a temporary Nurse.  Bernice was very active in the Nurses Union throughout her career, becoming President during the last five years.

Bernice was much loved by her family and her friends. 

Bernice was survived by her son Daniel Doucett and his wife Dawn of Minnesota; step-daughters, Anita and her husband Peter Kopp of ON and Cameal Lawrence of ON; grandchildren, Alesha Trinity Doucett, Ashley Kopp, Nathasha Kopp, Marissa Lawrence; great grandson Jaxon Trudeau; sister, Rosella Landry of Moncton; brother, Marcel Doucett and his wife Joyce of Moncton. 

Besides her parents Bernice was predeceased by her brother Bobby; grandson, Jordan Lawrence.

At her request there will be no services held. Bernice will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
