Obituary of Graham Stewart Walker
Graham Stewart Walker passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the same home in which he was born, on January 22, 2024.
Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of the late John and Pearl (Ward) Walker.
Graham spent 35 years as a Police officer where he enjoyed many roles especially Dog Master to Max for eight years. He retired from the Moncton City Police as Staff-Superintendent and Acting Deputy Chief. He then joined the RCMP when the Moncton Police Force was abolished.
He was a member of Hum Lew Sun Lions Club; an active volunteer with F.I.S.T.S. Amateur Boxing Club for 34 years as secretary treasurer. Graham served on the Moncton Boxing and Wrestling Commission for many years and also enjoyed playing and volunteering with the Moncton Slo Pitch league. He was awarded volunteer of the year being recognized for his many contributions throughout the city. Above all Graham enjoyed time spent with his family especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte (O'Brien); daughters, Timalee (Robert), Tracy (Steven), Kelly (Brad), Kara (Samantha); grandchildren, Lauryn, Marley, Sydney, Brody, and Rhys; sisters, Joyce (late Ron), Linda (Frank).
He was predeceased by his sisters, Lillian, Leola, Annie, Jean and Jackie; brothers, Harvey, Jim, George, Gordon, and Donald.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am with a reception to follow. Service officiated by Pastor Colin Cook.
Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
