Doris Cecelia Seaman
Doris was born in Truro, N.S., on Aug. 22, 1932, was the daughter of The Late William and Kathleen (MacKinnon) Leger. She passed away at the Moncton Hospital on March 6, 2024 as a result of sudden illness.
She is survived by her husband of 63-1/2 years, J. William (Bill), son Wayne William (Carole), daughter, Marilyn Anne (Lorenzo) Gri, granddaughters, Melissa, and Chelsea Seaman, sister Nora (late George) Marshall.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Theresa and her husband Lieutenant-Colonel Edward (Ted) Riordon.
Doris was an accomplished gardener who created a beautiful garden which was enjoyed by the neighborhood. She volunteered in various community activities and enjoyed helping others.
Our health system has come under much criticism, lately, but in this case the services rendered by first responders, doctors, nurses and hospital staff was second to none.
There will be a celebration of life held on Wednesday 13, 2024 between the hours of 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd. (506-857-9544), Riverview, NB.
The burial will be held at a later date in Minudie, Cumberland Co., NS.
