Obituary of Ben Byers
Ben Byers of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the age of 55 years. Born in St. Catharines, ON a son of Ann Devine and Ben Sr. Byers.
Ben was adventurous in his youth always looking to acquire new things that might not have been the best objects to have, one instance was a jack knife and a bleach bottle, he desperately wanting a BB gun to lose it as a result of all windows having holes from the BB pellets. Ben had his first child that gave him great pride, he then had three other children that he loved very much. He had close friends that he treated like family, he would make his rounds from house to house and you would see him walk in the front door to walk out the back door saying hello and snatching a snack on the way. Ben had a kind soul and a strong belief that he belonged to Jesus Christ, he would sometimes forget that during his trials and tribulations but knew he was saved.
Survived by his mother, Ann Devine of Moncton; father, Ben Sr. of Bell River, PE; sisters, Shawna Byers (Roger) of Dieppe, Krissy Mitton of Moncton; brother, Michael Byers of Moncton; daughter, Kayla Allison (Evan) of Riverview; sons, Joshua Byers of Shediac, Jeremy Gallant and Jamie Gallant (Sarah) both of Moncton; his long time companion, Bonnie Gallant; grandchildren, Sadie, Sophie, Issac, Kayden and Kalia; special aunt, Louise Fletcher (late Art); half brother, Deon Byers and half sister, Melissa Chandler (Jason) both of PE; also survived by niece, Cassidy Gaudet (Owen); nephews, Justin, Robbie and Kevin Dobson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
