Obituary of Elva Lillian Arbeau
It is with regret and much love that the family of Elva Lillian Arbeau announce her passing in Moncton, New Brunswick, on the 26th of July, 2022 She was 85.
Born Elva Lillian Sobey of Chaplin Island Road, New Brunswick, Canada, she lived a full life surrounded by her family and a few special friends. No heart was bigger, no spirit for life stronger, no more generous a spirit existed! If you had to sum up Elva's life in a few words, it would be: She cared; always others before one's self.
She is predeceased by a 2nd husband, Lawrence Arbeau of Riverview, N.B., a special love and friend, Ulysse Arseneault of Dieppe, N.B., and a 1st husband, Wendell Ritchie Allison, father to the loves of her life, her children and grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her parents Henry Charles Sobey of Maple Glen, N.B., and Annie May MacDonald of Miramichi, N.B., as well as several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her children: Donald Allison (Geralyn) of St. Petersburg, Florida; Ronald Allison (Ruthie) of Riverview, N.B.; Rick Allison (Katherine) of Moncton, N.B.; James Allison (Tonya) of Halifax, N.S.; Roland Allison (Paulette) of Dieppe, N.B; and Katherine Vye (Derek) of Moncton, N.B.; as well as a number of wonderful and beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Winnie King of Havelock, Ont., and Betty Lou Coffey of Burlington, Ont.
According to her wishes, her earthly remains were cremated, with a last resting place to be beside Wendell at Miramichi Cemetery, Miramichi City. A private graveside service has been scheduled for Tuesday, 2 p.m.Service Information
