I first met Jackie many years ago (in the \'70s). She would come into Blue Cross on MacBeath Avenue to pay her bill and leave claims. She was always friendly and we would often chat and became friends over the years. We even attended a mutual friend\'s wedding together and exchanged Christmas cards. After Blue Cross moved to Main Street, I lost touch with her and often wondered how she was doing.Since I retired in 2008, I had no idea where she was. I thought she might have gone to live with one of her sisters. Today, reading the newspaper, I was saddened to read her obituary. Jackie was a kind, caring lady and I am sure must have been a wonderful nurse. Sending heartfelt condolences to her sister, niece and nephews. May she live on in your hearts and memories. Sincerely, Linda Webber

I wish to offer my deepest sympathy in the loss of Jackie from your life. I met her as a little girl when she was the nurse for Don Williams the dentist. She was special always, and made me feel so special. When I had a wee surgery as a little girl she sent me a beautiful flower arrangement to the hospital - so special and it was never forgotten. When I retired I volunteered at Spencer and saw Jackie often and we talked about those days long ago. I will always see her with pretty flowers in her hair. May all your fond memories be a great comfort. She touched many lives, probably more than she ever realized. I pray now she is at peace. Holding you in my thoughts. Debby Stuart
