Obituary of Rita L. Manderson
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Rita Manderson at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday June 10, 2021. Rita was born on March 6, 1930 in Chatham, NB to George and Beatrice (Brown) Trevors. Rita and her late husband Mervin lived in Miramichi (Chatham & Newcastle), Sackville and Moncton during Mervin's career with Lounsbury's Furniture. While in Sackville and while raising her family Rita worked at Terrios' Shell in Aulac. Once they moved to Moncton she was a well loved and much respected waitress at Brunswick Hotel and Colonial Inn.
Survived by her children, Leonard (Debbie), Ron (Nancy), Roderick (Pauline) and Susan Horsman (John); grandchildren, Jeff Manderson (Jen), Jason Manderson (Denise), Erica Cairns (Trevor), Kraig Manderson (Tina), Kevin Manderson (Sarah), Alex Manderson (Theresa), Megan Manderson (Pierre Ladouceur), Andrew Manderson and Stephanie Horsman; great grandchildren, Mikayla & Wyatt Cairns, Tyler, Connor, Sawyer, Walker, Tristan, Danika, Zachary, Adelaide, and Katherine Manderson, and Lexie & Beau Ladouceur. Besides her parents Rita was predeceased by her husband Mervin; brother, Charles; sisters, Garnella Dickens and Louise Duke.
The Funeral Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Frank Trail officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
