Condolences on Steves passing- a true renaissance man so much fun to be around. The saying applies that the truly good people do leave us too soon.

First of all I want to express my sincere and deep condolences to you both, on the recent and sudden loss of Steve. He was great guy and a good friend I first met Steve at RCS and at his parents home in K Park in 1963. There was group of us at the School that became inseparable, good friends in both academics, cadets and socially. We formed a trust and bond that lasted us all a life time Steve was intelligent, smart and a great friend As you said he had a sharp wit ! We will miss him I will miss the knowing that he was alive, and now he is not Nancy , I have never met you , but I am sure you are a great Lady. Mike , you and I met at your parents home back in 1963. You were the older brother. My wife Valerie and Steve were good sparing partners . She too has great memories of Steve at Dalhousie and of course Rothesay We are both very sorry for your loss George & Valerie Teed I called Steve about three months ago . WE had not spoken in quite a few years He told me how over came COPD--quite a feat. That was Steve

Nancy, Im so sorry to hear of Steves passing. Mom and Dad cherished their friendship with you and Steve but he and Dad had a particularly special bond. Steve was one of the few people who could literally make Dad giggle and Dad relished in retelling the office antics in which Steve always played a central role. Take care and know I’m thinking of you and your family. Julie

Nancy, I was so saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. He was THE BEST! I had such a great chat with him in September after Dad died..he was such a legendary character in our family. His voice and his laugh remained unchanged...he really was one of a kind. He introduced Dad (and thus me) to such great music and gave my father so much joy with his stories (which Dad then retold with such relish). My father lived vicariously through Steve and I know my parents loved their time and trips with both of you. Xo Nancy

To Nancy, Michael and family: I was very sad to hear that Steve had passed away. When he hired me in 1994, it literally changed my life. He was a great teacher and mentor. I wish I had listened to him more! Rest in peace, Steve.

Dear Nancy, I am so shocked and saddened by this news that I read just this morning. Darlene and I offer our sincere condolences. I just don’t know what to say other than to tell you that Stevie and I had so many enjoyable times skiing at Poley. Always talking skiing and working out. This is just so sad!

My condolences to Nancy and Mike. I moved to NB when I was 16. Met Steve and had the time of my life. I moved back to Toronto and when colleagues share stories they all thought I made mine up. All true and mine got all the laughs. Steve was front and centre. What s fantastic guy RIP
