Obituary of Bernice M. Lee
Bernice M. Lee, 91, of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe and formerly of Sherrard Ave. Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born in Moncton and was the daughter of the late Marcel and Blanche Bourque.
Bernice was a former accountant with the Apec Accounting Firm in Chicago, IL. USA. She was a former member of the Christ du Roi Golden Age Club. She was a avid Bridge Player and was also a former President and member of the Golden Agers Bridge Club, she also loved playing and winning at crib. Her other interests included playing on her computer, reading a good book, sunday drives and supper, but most of all spending her summers from May thru to October at her cottage with family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, however she leaves to mourn her sister in law Rolande Bourque of Montreal (late Marcel), as well as her extended family of nieces and nephews.
Bernice will be especially missed by her niece Joan Gauvin and nephew Frank Bourque and his wife Carol and by her best friend Etta Elliott.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husband James "Bud" Lee in 1996 also by four brothers, Dosithe (Euphemie), Alonzo (Marie), Phillip (Greda) and Marcel and by five sisters Juliette Poirier (Allison), Alma Aaron (Fred), Simmone Goguen (Edgar), Bernadette Goguen (Francis) and Jean Bannister Black (Eddy).
Honoring Bernice's request there is no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
The funeral mass will be held at Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 1:30 pm with Fr. Arthur Bourgeois officiating.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in Bernice's memory made to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by her family.
