Obituary of Berthe M. Kingan
Berthe M. Kingan, 90, of Moncton and a summer resident of Malone, NY, passed away at Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone, NY on Thursday, October 15, 2009.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the Wilfred and Leonie (LeBlanc) Landry. She was formerly employed with National Shoe Stores in the Maritimes and Montreal. and was a former Government employee in the NWT. She was a member of the L'Assomption Cathedral.
She is survived by siblings Henry Landry (Lucille), Norman Landry (Dora), Lucille, Euclida Desroches (Leo), Annette Lavoie, Ronald Landry (Phyllis) and Rene Landry (Jackie) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Savage Kingan in 1982, and by sisters Irene Garneau, Anita Goulet, Theresa Babineau and Jeanine Landry
At Berthe's request cremation has taken place with entombment at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in New York.
Donations in Berthe's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
