Obituary of Bernice Ada Carter

Bernice Carter of Moncton, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital Wednesday March 8, 2006 at the age of 67 years. Born in Harbour Grace NF on March 1, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Suzanna Williams. She was adherent to the anglican church; a member of the air force veterans club; a member of the I.O.O.B; also, she was a former employee of The Colonial Inn. She is survived by daughters Irene Carter (Bruce) of St Johns NF, Beatrice Carter (Steve) of Hillsborough, Melvina Gilbert (Rick) of Badger NF, and Karen Cook (Stanley) of Moncton; sons Brian (Janet) and Martin Jr. both of Moncton, Valentine (Juanita) of Point Lemington NF Theodore (Stacey) of Mississauga ON, and Anthony (Karen) of Chatham, NB; fifteen grandchildren; sisters Yvonne Higdon (Hughie) of Buchans NF, Sheila Goulding of St. Johns NF. Brothers Wilfred, Frederick and Bow all of Buchans NF, Lloyd Smith of South Dildo NF, Gerald of Grand Falls NF, Dave of Calgary, and Ellis (Glenda) of Mississauga, ON; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Martin P. Carter in 1998, and her sister Linda Squires. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. on Friday March 10, 2006 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Saturday March 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris Vanbuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. In Bernice's memory, donations made to a living memorial for the family would be greatly appreciated.
