Obituary of Lucy Elizabeth Sullivan
Sullivan, Lucy E. age 100, formerly of Mount Royal Elder Care, Moncton, passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. She was born in Kouchibouguac, NB on February 19, 1912 and was the daughter of the late John D. and Sarah Jane (Carter) Sullivan.
Following Lucy's retirement she moved from the United States to Canada to be close to her son and family. She was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Moncton.
She is survived by her son Donald A. Sullivan (Mary) of Moncton; five grandchildren Kathy Evans (Jim) of Burlington, PEI., Donnie Sullivan of Oakville, ON., Terry Sullivan (Trish) of Burlington, ON., Cindy Miller (Ernie) of Oakville, ON. and Elaine Smith (Patrick) of Milton, On; seven great granschildren Erica, Jillian, Amy, Lisa, Cora, Demi and Nathan; a special niece Sandra Dyson of London, ON; and by several nieces and nephews. Lucy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by eight sisters Eileen, Elizabeth, Kathaleen, Greta, Patricia, Mae, Geraldine and Jennie; two brothers Clifford and James.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 10:00am until the time of the service.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, Moncton on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 12:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in St. James Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Kouchibouguac, NB.
Donations in Lucy's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation, the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home or to St. Michaels' Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
