Obituary of Theodore Blair Magee

Theodore (Ted) Blair Magee, of Moncton, NB, passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Born in Lewisville, NB he was the son of the late Blair and Maida (Colpitts) Magee. He was retired from the CNR as a Locomotive Engineer. He attended St. Johns United Church. He was in the Merchant Navy for 4 years from 1941-1945. Ted was Past Local Chairman of B of L.E., President of The Moncton Lions Seniors Club for 19 years. He was Past President of Heritage Court Bowling and Past President of the Seniors Bowling League. He was also Chairman of the Association of the Air Force Vets and a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6. He was a previous bingo caller at the Air Force Vets. Ted loved gardening and fishing, playing cards and gathering his own wood. Ted will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years, Freda (Wilson) Magee, daughter Dorothy (Alfred) Maillet of Riverview, sons Eldon (Darlene), and Tommy (Colleen) all of ON, 2 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ted was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his first wife Myrna Jamieson in 1978; 1 brother, and 5 sisters,. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Legion Branch # 6 will hold a service at 6:45 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only, donations in Ted's memory made to the Georges L. Dumont Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
