Hi Rachel and Matthew and extended family- I wish I had gotten to know David better as I walked by the house many times (we live on Mathieu Crescent) and said a hello to David in the shed (he may have been enjoying a cigarette lol) It was a truly amazing obituary and touched me- perhaps its my Miramichi roots too. Our deepest condolences on Davids passing. Marty & Phyllis Kingston, 20 Mathieu Crescent

I can not put into words the hurt I feel at the loss of my best friend of 40 years. Some of the best fun I ever had was with this guy. I taught him how to play Texas Holdem and of course he became better at it then me. We loved Dave and will continue to love Rachel and be there for her when ever needed. We feel privileged to have known him.

Rachael, We were so sad to hear about David. I recall meeting him at Touchie's. I interviewed him and hired him as I liked him right away. He did not disappoint and became a well respected accountant. He was a joy to be around and had an infectious laugh. We enjoyed many parties and golf games. He will be missed by many.

David has been a personal friend and also my accountant. First met and worked with Dave when he came to Moncton to work with Touchie. We became friends and have been playing cards together for several years. There is a great big empty chair now at our card table. His personality and friendship will be dearly missed. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear this news about Dave. I was not aware that he was sick and I know he would have hated that. He was too busy having fun and caring about people to be sick. I hope he is at peace now. He was a wonderful guy and a great friend and I always felt that if I needed him he would be there in a heartbeat. He was there for anyone in need because that was the kind of person he was. To Rachel and Matthew, you have my deepest sympathies on your tremendous loss. To his family and friends, prayers for all of you. May he Rest In Peace

Dear Rachel, I met Dave in the late 1980s through Hoss and Tony and right away enjoyed his company and good times at ball hockey play. I would meet him in passing, very seldom and happily, through the following three decades with some talk of our common interest in the salmon fishing on the Miramichi. This past decade I met him regularly, sharing our zest for playing poker, interjected with talking sports and other topics, good fun and laughter. I felt a kindred spirit in him, loved his sense of humour, often dry and sarcastic, the fun in his company, and his kindness. I am sad I wont meet him again, yet I can smile with fond memories, and the good fortune to have known him. I know that the grief from losing your spouse can seem like it will never ease, and that words can often seem empty in these days, hang on to the good memories, and I hope that in time things will get better for you Rachel. Even though I dont you personally, when Dave spoke of you I felt you were #1 to him. Best wishes, Bobby C
